First sketches of a series of illustrations that will become a surface pattern design collection. The illustrations are inspired by the Chinese Room in the movie Gosford Park, a British production from 2001 nominated for seven Academy Awards.
The first elements include a nightstand, a table lamp and a vase of orchids. Basic colours are moss green and yellow with grey background and white details. Colours will be adjusted as more elements are developed. For the aesthetics research please check the blog post.
